IGC Cologne 2012 - DOWN TO EARTH

The IGC is the quadrennial meeting of the International Geographical Union (IGU). The congress combines the traditional meetings of the IGC Commissions with a wide range of sessions addressing the following four key topics:

  • Global Change and Globalisation
  • Society and Environment
  • Risks and Conflicts
  • Urbanisation and Demographic Change
Geographers bring the wide-ranging perspectives and methodology of their subject to bear on these four major thematic complexes and contribute to the solution of urgent scientific and socio-political issues – bringing research down to earth.

Sponsors

It is not possible to organise a congress on the scale of the IGC 2012 without the support of donors, partners and sponsors. The congress offers all sponsors a broad platform to communicate individual messages. Our individually tailored sponsoring packages directly target as many as 2,000 decision-makers and multiplicators in schools, universities and applied geography researching, teaching and working in more than 600 institutions worldwide. Sponsors will also come in contact with more than 15,000 geographers in the German-speaking region alone in the pre-Congress phase.

We would be very happy to discuss a package specifically designed for your needs. Please contact:
